Cultivating Your Creative Capacity While Dissolving Conflict and Blocks
Learn a self-empowering practice that uses process art to strengthen your inner voice, consciously engage your intuition, release creative-block tensions, and relax into a playful mindset for developing confidence in your life and art. This three session workshop takes a “process over product” perspective meaning we are learning to becoming aware of our creative voice itself within a framework that can release the stress of judgment around making art. This is suitable for all levels of artistic ability including beginners. No critiques in classes and assistance with use of materials is offered.
Part one: Artmaking with Intention (Mindfulness)(drawing)
Part two: Artmaking for Awareness (Creative blocks)(paint)
Part three: Artmaking for Cultivating Joy (spontaneity)(mixed media)
Class format includes reflecting on the weekly concept, open studio time exploring materials and writing. Structured sharing and “no commenting” on artworks ensures no critiques which frees us up to work spontaneously, become aware of our blocks, release them.
Noticeable benefits of this process: self-confidence, emotional awareness, sensitivity, self-acceptance, relief of judgement, courage, renewed excitement for art making and improved creative problem solving.
Classes held at beautiful Redbrick Art Studio and facilitated by Chelsea Cordova.
*I reserve spots for partial and full scholarship as I believe this is beneficial process work and should be available to anyone regardless of ability to pay. I also have received scholarship and want to pay it forward. When you pay full price you contribute to the scholarship of others and help me make a living wage as an artist. Contact me if you would like to ask about scholarship.
